When an error occurs within one of the Lima desktop applications or the Lima service then details of the error are typically written to a dedicated log file. It is useful when reporting any issue with Lima to also include a copy of the log files to help identify and resolve the problem.
Note that the log files will only be located on the same machine that the application which experienced the error was running. For example, the Lima Administrator error logs would typically be located on a server machine if that is where the application is installed, whereas Lima Client error logs would be on each end-user machine depending on which user had the error.
Most of the error log files will create a different XML file for each day where an error has occurred, when sending the error log, ensure that the correct file is sent based on the date that the error occurred. The date is included in the name of the file in the format yyyyMMdd. For example, “error_log_20101231.xml” would be the log file for 31st December 2010.
Important: You will need to display ‘hidden folders and files’ in order to navigate through the local app data file structure.
In all cases the log files are stored in the local app data folder which has a dynamic path based on the current logged in Windows account. This part of the path is highlighted in red.
Lima Administrator
The location of the Lima Administrator error log files is as follows:

Lima Client
The location of the Lima Client error log files is as follows:
